Experience technology to change life

Typeless Use Experience

Overall, the user experience is very good - the accuracy is much higher than Google voice input on my phone.

Windows PC Usage

Feels not too convenient to use in the office:

  1. Need to wear headphones.
  2. When colleagues around are quiet, speaking still feels a bit awkward and stressful.

Also, there’s another issue when using on computer: I often mix English in my Chinese, which might be specific names of files or code. For example, when coding I might say “请把某某文件…” and read out the filename directly - Typeless definitely can’t recognize it, it doesn’t know my filename.

Mobile Usage

On phone it’s even more extreme:

  1. Mobile version currently only has voice input, can’t directly switch to a 26-letter keyboard to make small edits. On computer I can still type to fix, on phone I sometimes have to switch back to 26-key.
  2. Switching back to keyboard is troublesome, need to go to Settings to change. In comparison, Google or WeChat voice input might be more convenient to switch.

Comparison with WeChat Voice Input

About WeChat’s voice input, accuracy is okay, but I haven’t tested much, and WeChat doesn’t have a place for custom vocabulary.

Price

Finally, the price - it’s actually very expensive, even with annual subscription. So let’s observe other options going forward.
